The Author, Yessica De La Rosa Avancena, is a Certified Mindfulness Teacher and a Marriage and Family Therapist who considers herself passionate about advancing human consciousness one soul-lite at a time. She skillfully structured the journey from when a child is upset "because life can be hard sometimes" to a pleasant way back to their happy, joyful self by breathing, sitting, and being very still . . . through a correlative nature energy center adventure . . . and suddenly back to their Mindful Mountain and feeling strong, timeless and still. A brilliant chakra balancing without even mentioning the chakras. I love how this book teaches a child valuable meditation skills for life. The beautiful bright illustrations that draw in and delight the child are by Diana Shek. This book feels caring and supportive of parents and children alike. There is a "Note For Grown Ups" page citing "This book is a great resource when your child becomes upset after a difficult situation." I highly recommend this book for teachers, therapists, nurses, counselors, Reiki Masters and meditation teachers. I ordered multiple copies to share. Will also make a great baby gift, birthday gift, as it IS a gift to all the children who are fortunate enough to journey with it. I'm meditating on the hopeful intent that there will be more books for children forthcoming by this author.
